Poem: It is Raining in My Closet

New poem.  Because I can.  I’m thinking maybe I should post Shot Day, which is the lyrics to a song.  But I don’t have the notes.  Hm… Technically that would make it a poem not a song.

It is Raining in My Closet

It is raining in my closet.
It is raining outside as well.
It distracts my mind.
Rain should not be inside.

It is raining in my closet.
I should be fast asleep,
but the rain is pouring
denying me my need.

It is raining in my closet.
How do I stop the downpour?
Could I fix the roof,
or do the pipes need repair?

It is still raining in my closet
Nothing seems to stop it.
Whenever it pours outside,
the rain collects in my closet

It is raining in my closet.
The bucket is there for capture.
As it fills, my heart weakens.
At some point, it will spill over.

And for those of you wondering about Shot Day:
