Jagged Glass: Poem
If you asked, I’d tell
The moment I knew it;
I remember it well
The chance I took last night.
Between the bottles and
The barmaids’ soft smiles,
One comment was alright.
Two made me tempt a fight.
You see, my drink in hand
Broke from a solid ram.
The jagged glass hurt them.
A few men were called,
I beckoned them as well.
My broken bottle rose:
Wild swings of drunken rage.
Now I sit in the cage.
