Poem: Non-Challenging Challenger

Happy Mother’s Day!  I have a lot of mother poems.  Some written from the perspective of a mother and others talking to random mothers.  Most, though, are for my mother.  It’s the one I know the best.  I’m still young as a mother goes.  (Shhhh!  They’re only ten…  *cry*)

Non-Challenging Challenger

A beauty undefined;
A challenge not made;
A worthy rival standing,
Waiting, watching,
For us to grow up;
To see our power.
Never the challenge,
Just the nurture,
Of a loving, caring,
Mother.
