Poem: I Don’t Know

Written for my father.  When I ask for a topic or thing don’t answer with “I don’t know”.  Seriously, this is what happens.

I Don’t Know

The sky’s main color;
The way it changes at dusk,
I don’t know.

The fire’s dancing;
The way it moves around,
I don’t know.

The ocean’s movement;
The way it ebbs in and out,
I don’t know.

The mountain’s rocks;
The way it grows so slow,
I don’t know.

The truth of it all;
The way it shows life off,
I don’t know,
And probably never will.
