Poem: Lake of Glass

(Poem Day!)

Lake of Glass

Paddle through the breaking cracks;
This lake of glass may shatter yet.
Push further, farther, faster
Hoping not to lose the oar.
The black abyss waits on below.
Placid, calm, elusive stranger
Replacing racing devils by nature.
Our lake of value so long gone,
Push and strive to make it home,
Giving up now will create no point,
So home you strive through
This lake of ice.
