Poem: Strong Enough

(My pregnancy and early years of motherhood were tough. I was tougher. Still am. Will always be.)

Strong enough

I am strong enough to stand my ground.
I am tough enough to not back down.
You will not win; I will not lose.
These battles may not be mine to choose,
But I am strong enough to handle this
And whatever else you throw this way.
Don’t get in this Mother’s face.
