(It’s not father’s day? That’s okay. When you have a great dad, every day should leave you thankful and happy.)
Dad’s Day
One is lucky to be able to celebrate this day,
Where the only one who is important
Is the man who stood tall and stayed.
Few among us do not understand
The loneliness of being without this man
Where our fingertips have no one to grasp.
The gravity of being alone hits hard
On all of us alone; whether the man
Gave up or went beyond the foam.
For those who have no one to embrace on
This bright occasion, stand tall
And accept the moment’s celebration.
One day there will be a man who can be
Called forth and called that;
So for now think of him in past, present, or future:
DAD.
