Poem: Black

(That was mean of me yesterday. Here… You’ll probably feel this very closely.)

Black

Stolen everything
the heart’s darkest color
broken items internal
nothing seems right
every shade has taken on this hue
this broken hue
where nothing is right
all the wrong items
shining something
i need this something
what is it that shines?
silver in the night’s light
star’s grasping fighting
the darkness
the night
the blackness
isn’t complete
fight to focus
stare at the bright
the shine that’s there
the inky blackness
won’t break down those shining
be the focus point for others
being the shining light
the only way to get black is with light
shine brighter
everything will be shadows
until you become the light
