(Remember back in 2019 I was writing myth based poems? This is one of them.)
Demon Minion
As a demon minion,
I really don’t get much;
no one’s interested
in the pet that causes fuss.
As a demon minion,
I rarely have no worth;
I listen to my elders
and hope a good demon comes.
As a demon minion,
you can’t expect a lot;
we sit and wait and wonder
thinking maybe it’s not.
As a demon minion,
the goal is simply this
turning into a real demon,
but that’s impossible for us.
As a demon minion,
I’m stuck following the path;
don’t worry about little old me;
I’m managing as best I can.
