(I wrote this for a story collection, but I wasn’t comfortable coming out as LBGT+ yet.)
Pride Park, Our Home
There is a place I like to go.
It’s not fancy, but feels like home.
A timeless place called Pride Park.
It’s where I can be me
Whichever me that wants to be.
We accept you when you come
Whether ally or occupant.
Freedom within Pride Park can
Offer up more than fresh chance
Our setting is meant to repair.
The support you seek is stable here
So, cross the rivers, plains, and vortexes.
Pride Park can withstand the worst of it.
It’s pride, hope, and love.
The place that’s home to everyone.
