Poem: What’s It Like?

(I’m dropping two new poems just made to say and show how I feel today. Which is lonely and horrible and unwanted. And no it’s not depression. I need friendships and love. But disability denies me any chance at that. That’s been the way my family has always told me. And I’m trapped.)

What’s It Like?

whats it like to have a circle of
people who care that you exist

whats it like to be considered
before any event

whats it like to have that care
shown your way often

whats it like to be held
as if you cannot be forgotten

whats it like to be loved
and to love in return

whats it like to be given
a real chance at living

whats it like to be believed
when you say somethings wrong

whats it like to have trust
and to never question it
