Poem: Thunderbird

(This may have been written for my Poem A Day May 2019: Myths, but it’s actually attached to a real myth.)

Thunderbird

The lightning in the sky
coursing across the land
hitting every single thing
worthy in this world

You can hear its screech
every burst of sound
when the thunderbird
approaches watch out
